Handyman for JJ Handywork
JJ Handywork is a small business I started to raise money for college tuition. It began my freshman year of high school simply mowing lawns around my neighborhood. As my technical skills developed I was able to take on more complex jobs and after a few years of welding classes and carpentry experience I was taking on large structural carpentry and welding builds. This business has provided both systematic and mechanical problem-solving experience and was instrumental in giving me the confidence to handle new and unique adversities.
The varied communication platforms required to run my small business helped me realize the value of developing and focusing my interpersonal skills. I have since dedicated much of my education and extracurricular involvement towards improving the efficiency of my communication, and more specifically, I have specialized my Interpersonal Communications minor towards remote and online communication.
