Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for ENGI 1100 Introduction to Engineering

My sophomore year I was a teaching assistant for a freshman-level Introduction to Engineering course. This class is heavily focused on group projects and each TA was given three groups to support. In this role, I regularly met with groups to facilitate effective communication and provide direction. Additionally, I hosted office hours for personal instruction, provided feedback on graded assignments, and counseled students with general academic advice.

My time as a teaching assistant is what initiated my interest in supportive communication and working with others to develop positive communication habits. Pursuing this interest, the following year I ran for the position of Leadership Development Coordinator for the Student Housing and Residential Life.
